Wherever do you find these?
I went and hit the 'patterns' download link and I've been like this for the last 10 minutes - and and
I need to sort out the resources files in my PC!
Jean
PS: Thanks, Lee. |

Hi all
I decided to run some updates in our resources thread and found a gem of an artist in the process. I don't think she's new on the scene but I certainly hadn't seen these sites before.
This inspiring artist, Signe, has two sites filled with some excellent goodies.
The LiveJournal site ::oxoniensis:: and ::Oxoniesis.net:: have some mindblowing art and many fantastic resources too.
Find:
Icon textures
*Brushes- PS7 with image sets for PSP users
*Gradients
*Patterns
*Shapes
*Screencaps
*Stock pics
*Tutorials
The site is updated regularly (quite rare these days)and offers something for everybody.
Enjoy!
PS-For those into fanfic she also has a site called Grooves as Spirals. _________________

A wee bump for this site I found a while back.
Consider it a smorgasbord of PS/PSP-related and other graphics resources. The font-ho, texture-ho, stock-ho, and whatever else you're a ho for would likely walk away with something.
A word of caution for those who have little ones. I don't know how sensitive some of you are to this so I thought I'd let you know as it caught me off-guard since they changed the banner. Nothing graphic (or close to graphic) but the pose maybe suggestive for some. I just shrink my window down so just to show the bottom half.
Blue Vertigo
Just FYI: The primary scrolling direction is horizontal. _________________

I've discovered a fantastic Deviant called masterjinn who has a simply stunning collection of textures, brushes, patterns and light stocks.
They come in all sizes: for icons, sigs and wallpapers. Her scanned patterned papers are to die for.
Check it out :: masterjinn ::
My site of the month. |

Thanks, Lee!
Downloading like crazy right now. I have some of her icon textures from LJ and I'm only sorry I never went to her DA account before.

Hi guys!
I was talking to a guy in a coffeeshop the other day, and he was working with a program called Bryce on his computer. It was extremely cool! You can use it to do 3-D images, where you can control the lighting and angles and make floating glass spheres that reflect their surroundings.... really neat.
Anyway, I just now noticed that if you're a member of deviantArt, you can get a deal on this program. But only until the end of the month! I just bought it, it was 20 US dollars which is a good deal.
So I thought I'd better alert you all, just in case you would ever be interested in this program. Like I said, I just downloaded it, so I haven't figured out how to make anything to post here and show you.
I feel like a saleswoman. I don't mean to be, I just thought this was a cool deal.
ETA: Here's my first effort at making an image. You can also animate these things. This is just a jpeg.

No worries, sweetie. I understand - I work with insurance salesmen! And of course any good deal on a legal software should be shared.

Thanks, eruanne. |

Well eruanne, if you feel like a saleswoman, consider it a job well done. I have just joined DeviantArt and signed up on DAZ so that I could buy this software, so thank you so much for the tip! As you said, $20 instead of $90 is an amazing deal and I've always wanted to try a programme like that. Just a quick question, do you simply download all the ah, downloads and then install it? I must admit I'm quite excited - hope I can figure it all out.
And if that is your first effort then wow! Wow, wow, wow!
Thanks again for that tip.
Cheers

Hey, my mom's been playing with Bryce for about three years now. It is an amazing programme with endless possibliities for creativity.
If you got it for $20 it was definitely money well spent, Eruanne!

I forgot, you did tell me about your mom's stuff, didn't you? But I really hadn't known what you could do with Bryce until I saw it on this guy's computer.
Anyway, fun stuff! I'm glad I clicked on the litte ad at DA. I'm going to try and import figures like that girl with the golden swirls into it and see if I can animate it. _________________

Thanks for the tip eruanne!
I went straight to deviantart (on Friday morning before work! ) and purchased it!
So far I only followed one tutorial I found and I don't think O've got the right hand for it yet (somehow I couldn't get the moon to appear in my pic... ) but it looks as if it's going to be a lot of fun playing around with it.
I admire your first attempt!!
